Kelly Milner likes to say she was raised by wolves in the Yukon. She cut her professional teeth working across the North as a journalist but got drawn into the uncharted world of First Nations land claims and wildlife co-management. For almost two decades she was lost in the wilderness of briefing notes and community consultations but eventually found her way back to her creative and storytelling roots.
In 2015 she brought her two worlds together and started her own media and communications company, Shot in the Dark Productions. Her projects focus on issues and ideas important to people who live in Canada’s North.
