Max Fraser

Max Fraser is an independent Yukon filmmaker whose most recent production is Bond of Strangers – The OpHusky Digital Experience.  This 2017 digital media creation is an interactive website based on his 54-minute documentary film Bond of Strangers – The Operation Husky Story which was released in the fall of 2015.

Max produced a two-part TV mini-series, the comedy-drama Broke Down Dawson Town, set and shot in Dawson City, Yukon. The northern producer is also known for his short films and the award-winning TV documentary Never Happen Here - The Whitehorse 9/11 Story about terrifying events in the Yukon on 9/11.

Max serves on the board of Screen Production Yukon Association and is a member of the Yukon Film Society and the Documentary Organization of Canada. His career began in 1974 when he came to the Yukon from Vancouver to work as a reporter/photographer for the Whitehorse Star.  A Yukon resident since then, he has worked in communications, book publishing, printing, politics and Yukon aboriginal relations.
